A long time fascination with the books written by Katherine Hull and Pamela Whitlock as well as Pam's own writings - especially for the Pony Club Magazine.
There is indeed a "real" Cloud Farm and it looks right in terms of location.

Slightly off topic perhaps... But I have never found a photograph of either of our two authors. Does anyone know if photographs exist online? Ive just re read all three Oxus books again; I was 12 when I was first given the FDO, and now 60, ive enjoyed I just as much as the first reading.
I should mention tho, the author's school has a webpage which includes some wonderful drone footage. I watched it wondering where they originally met sheltering from that rainstorm...
